Khichdi Recipe

Khichdi is an easy-to-make recipe and it is also delicious.  Khichdi is Indian food and healthy recipe. This khichdi is made from split green gram and rice. You can serve with only yogurt or butter and it’s so tasty that you entirely will eat all in plate. Khichdi is also a good dish for health, it is well-intentioned. So let's  make this famous Indian recipe, dal mung ki khichdi - 

Ingredients for Khichdi
Rice - a small bowl (50 grams)
Split Green gram - a small bowl (50 g)
Butter - approximately 30 grams
Salt - according to taste
Turmeric powder - half teaspoon
Fennel - half teaspoon
Potatoes - A Medium Shape
Green Chillies – One

How to make Khichdi Recipe -
Clean the rice and split green gram(Moong daal)  and wash these  thoroughly and soak  in water for half an hour. Peel the potatoes and cut into fine pieces and chop finely  the green chilie. Put butter in the cooker and heat it, and as soon as the butter melts, add fennel to it. Fry the fennel lightly. add the green chilli in it. After frying a little bit of green chilli, add potato pieces and fry it for about one minutes. Then add turmeric powder to it and cook it for a few seconds.

Now add split green gram (moong daal) and rice and add salt as per your taste. After this add two times the water to the rice and moog daal( you can measure the bowl with the bowl which you measure rice and daal). Close the cooker and cook it for three to four whistles. Close the flame after the four whistle. Let the cooker cool for some time. After about five minutes, when the pressure of the cooker is over, open the cooker. 

Delicious Moong dal and rice khichdi is ready to serve. Take out the khichadi in a plate or a dish and put butter in hot Khichdi. What can you say if you eat this khichadi or eat it with pickle? If you like, eat  with milk also.
